The Department for Investment and Current Maintenance and Energy Efficiency performs maintenance tasks for business facilities and office spaces in Sarajevo and Mostar owned by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and facilities/spaces used by federal authorities and bodies in Sarajevo and Mostar, with the aim of rational and functional use, performs maintenance of installations, facilities, devices and equipment in them, as well as investment and current maintenance of official apartments that are allocated to function holders for temporary accommodation, maintenance of installations, devices, equipment and furniture in them, taking into account all applicable laws, technical regulations, standards, rulebooks and norms in the field of construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and energy efficiency, participates in activities to create assumptions for capital investment, performs analyses of studies, programs, plans and projects for investment investments and energy efficiency and monitors their implementation, plans and collects data as well as other documentation necessary for investment investments and improvement of energy efficiency and monitors their implementation; prepares technical data and technical specifications for investment and ongoing maintenance of facilities, facilities serving facilities, installations and devices, performs the duties of energy manager coordinator for the federal level of government in accordance with the regulations for this area, takes care of the implementation of criteria for the procurement of equipment and services that enable a higher level of energy efficiency in the procedures for the procurement of goods and services for the needs of the Department, coordinates the work of participants in the performance of investment and ongoing maintenance works and monitors their implementation on behalf of the investor, attends technical acceptances of the performed works and controls the final calculations on behalf of the investor, performs ongoing maintenance of office and other furniture, technical equipment, devices, facilities, installations and appliances, participates in the preparation of tender documentation and contracts, plans and prepares technical specifications for the procurement of furniture and equipment for the needs of the Service, as well as for the needs of official apartments allocated to holders of functions for temporary accommodation, audio recording of sessions of the Government of the Federation of BiH and other federal organs and bodies, upon request, performs tasks of maintaining the hygiene of business premises and facilities and the associated space around the facilities, organizes the relocation of a small number of users within one facility or from one facility to another, plans and prepares technical specifications for relocations of a larger volume of one or more users from one facility to another and monitors their implementation, organizes the provision of preventive sanitary and ecological protection services in and around the facilities, organizes and controls the quality of utility services provided by the facilities maintained by the Service, cleaning and maintaining green areas around the facilities, and in the winter period, clearing snow/ice and spreading salt against ice around the facilities it maintains, provides technical support to other departments in order to implement tasks within the competence of the Service, prepares draft acts, information and analyses from the Department's field of work.
